This has been a very busy month. Even though the TIM to Taiwan has been postponed, I was involved in two programmes out of the office. Now, it is time to focus on other important agenda and programmes for the following months.
I was amazed to see my senior colleagues managed to squeeze and allocate some of their precious time in this uncertainties and challenging period to go on a long vacation, playing golf, organinising a social dinner, back to Malaysia... etc etc...
Maybe one of the reasons - they have extra manpower to take care of the office. They may have lesser programmes related to work, or perhaps their work is more routine in nature. They may also able to do their work while away from office. Maybe they know how to "go around" the tasks and work smart. Good on them. Itulah kelebihan otai (the seniors). They have the experience and know how to deal with the situation. I need to acquire and tap their knowledge and expertise.
Well... apart being learning from others, I need to learn from my experience. Doing jobs outside of the office has enabled me to gain new experience and learn a lot from my mistakes/shortcomings. Sometimes I felt I'm too precautious and too stressful in order to avoid mistakes. Maybe because I was trained and given strong orientation for perfection. Well... nothing is perfect, except Allah. I can tolerate with the "qadha and qadar", or what has been written by the God in everyone's books. Nevertheless, a lot more of people in this world did not believe that and always questioning, why this happened, why don't avoid/think about it, who should be blame (scapegoat), why you should anticipate and avoid the worst case scenario. Susah nak deal dengan manusia2 seperti ini. Semoga Allah membukakan hati2 mereka dalam merasa redha pada ketentuan-Nya... including myself.
I would like to wish some of my good friends who are given the huge tasks and responsibility to work overseas, like me. All the best, do the best, and do keep in touch. Try to have a balanced and enjoyable life at your stations, and work with a clean and noble heart for the development of our beloved country - Malaysia. Cabaran semakin hebat mendatang dan kita kena sentiasa bersedia menghadapinya dengan sebaik mungkin.
